Hi!

This is my first post here and I need some help!

I got a Samsung i910 from Bell Canada and it's my second i910 since 1 month, I've changed the first for the same reason. The problem is the phone goes to sleep mode, and I can't get back the display, either with ANY buttons on the cellphone or plugging it via USB or AC. This was happening randomly or when I've received a call longer than the time it takes to put off the display. The only way to get the phone work agains is to remove and put back the battery... So i've changed the phone and get a replacement. Everything was running fine (for maybe 4-5 days) and now it just happened again.. The cellphone was in my pockets, I've get it out to make a call and same thing, no response from any buttons. Is that ever happened to someone here? I've noticed that the cell was always in my pocket before this happens, maybe there's a heat sensor or kinda... So any help would be greatly appreciated!

(Sorry for poor english!)

This happened to me on my HTC 9800 from Bell.
It's the reason why I have an Omnia now.
Very frustrating and you can't fix it I was told.

Happens to me, too (Omnia i910).  Probably 2 or 3 times a week.  In fact, it's not getting stuck in sleep mode. I think that it's actually turning OFF while in sleep mode (maybe they should rename it "coma mode") LOL. The power button won't respond. I have to actually pull the battery and reinsert and restart the phone.

I've resolved this problem mainly by disabling the auto turn off feature on the phone... I must manually close the screen with the power button, but it hasnt happened since like 2 weeks now! Hope it helps!

You guys should try to remember the last thing you were doing before putting the phone away.
I found out the 1 thing that makes my phone unresponsive. It only happens to me after using Opera.
If I use then close Opera and tap the power button, my device goes to sleep and will not wake up.
If I use then close Opera and let the device go to sleep on its own, or I use cleartemp after Opera, I don't have any issues.

For quite some time I wasn't using my phone for internet and not once did I have the issue of it not waking up. Last week I used Opera, closed it, and hit the button, when I went to use it again later, it wouldn't wake up.

For me, it's definitely related to Opera.
