I already searched on this topic, and no solution was noted...

My Samsung Omnia i910 always gives me a "Pause by temperature" error when I try to charge the battery for the last couple months.  This is with the regular plug in wall charger.  I ordered a new battery, and it doesn't seem to make a difference.  Sometimes it acts like it will charge, show 4 full battery bars, then a minute later go back to low battery and turn the phone off.

I took it to Verizon and they had no new batteries to try with it, but when they tried to charge the phone on their test battery, and also my battery, it held a charge for a while, but did the same thing.

Again, even though I got a brand new battery, it did the same thing.  Anyone have a solution for this issue?  I cannot get into my phone, check my msgs, use it period, except once every few days for about 1 minute.....this is not a workable solution.

Anyone have a solution for this?

(It won't charge at all if I try to use the USB cable either -- and I already saw other related topics on trying to charge w/ the USB...but this error occurs even when I am using the wall charger).

Thanks in advance.

You might have a faulty unit.

Is your device still under warranty? If so, bring it back to the shop.

Thanks for your reply and suggestions.

Unfortunately, it is past the warranty.  I've had it since Feb. 2009.

I was planning on upgrading soon anyway, as my upgrade month is this October, but I need to be able to get all my info off the unit as well, and since I can't get the phone on for any length of time, this is also an issue...

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Can you get hold of an external charger or any of you friends have the same device that can help you charge the battery on their phone?
