Is there a software to let the Omnia I8000 play these HD videos?

My player does not support HD videos too

Any recommendations?

Yup.

I did that. Registered my phone at the DIVX website and player.

Tested a download of an HD Video from youtube.

Still can't play HD movies as resolution is not supported.

The screen on the omnia is 800X480 however touhplayer will not play video beyon 720X480, don't know why.  The problem is Nthing else can play video at that resolution without major performance issues due to the fact that touchplayer has access to the video driver.

That said it makes no realy sense to try to play HD video(1280X720??) on an 800X480 screen, you're just wasting space, and cpu(battery).

I've tried to write an app to take advantage of the video chip, but appearently touchplayer has some backdoor and samsung support won't respond to my requests.

LOL yeah that place is the biggest joke.  They never respond and on the rare occasion they do they say "gotta go check with developer" and never respond again.  I waited for a response there for 3 months and then gave up looking.
