Saw a video of this demoed on an O2 (around 3:30) . Looking good - may have to get when it becomes available. http://www.youtube.com/v/V5oRiMXhPMk&rel=1

Looks like they iphoned it. People who want an iphone buy an iphone so it looks like a customer targeting fail.
Who uses the carousel? I never do and would prefer the option to disable it and so save memory etc. Show me practicality not glitz.

I must say I'm "almost" happy about what they showed on that video... that is absolutely nothing new except for a couple (useless) 3d eyecandy stuff Tongue
What's there to be happy about? Well... it could mean (at least I hope) that I will not have to redo from scratch all my widgets, maybe a minor porting work could be enough Cheesy

Jokes apart... there's something in that video that got me a little worried... that one was a HD2, right? It has a 1Ghz snapdragon processor, it has 3d acceleration handled (so I heard) better than on our Omnia 2, it has heaps of free ram more than our Omnia 2.... and the (useless) carousel still was that choppy and laggy? Shocked I keep thinking it will need the USS Enterprise's Mainframe, with Capt. Kirk, Mr Spock, Mr. Sulu and the whole crew to make it run smooth.....

I just thought it was neat that they used the O2 for the WM and it didn't look laggy.

I just use one screen on the touchwiz - that's how fancy pants I am Grin

you can disable the carousel.

Yep, I know, but that's not the point Smiley The point is: did they really need wasting time on a feature with close to 0 usefulness which also runs laggy on the most powerful hardwares currently on the market instead of working on making their product more... productive, for example integrating with with their best other software (spb diary) which is not yet supported?
