Hi,

I get this message every few hours:   "storage memory is critically low. if the storage memory is not increased, other programs may not be able to start. delete files that are no longer needed."  then I also get this message: " you can't receive any SMS messages as the memory is low".

What is "storage memory", where is it located, how can I find it through the file explorer? I noticed it happened after I downloaded all the emails in my yahoo inbox for the past 30 days(before I only used to download for the past 7 days). how can I move the files in that "storage memory" to other storages(my device-storage card), and then will my emails software be able to reach them?

thanks

you need to use a sd card as your storage.  you can go to the email settings and set the downloads to store there.    until you basically load the messages off or delete them youre memory will stay full.   back them up then delete them.  then change the settings and you should be fine.

old thread....but found it when searching online for a solution for myself when the dreaded "storage memory is critically low warning error"

I browse and use opera alot....

This is what I had:  approx 3mb of memory in the "storage" side when clicking the Memory icon in programs.

This is what I did:  browse file explorer, my device, application data, opera9...goto cache & select & delete all....then go back 1 screen and select download and select all and delete

*you can do this directly on your device or while connected to your pc.

This is what I now have:  approx 52 mb of free memory in storage.

Smiley hope this also helps someone else....

one other thing you can do is to type in the browser opera:config

then user pref...

then scroll to cache directory 4...   change it to   storage card\opera\

this will save the cache info to your sd card instead of your main memory...
