hi all - I have an SCH-i920 Omnia II.  Updated my computer due to bad circuit board and choose to go System 7 Ultimate 64-bit.  I have read MANY MANY problems with WMDC and synching the Omnia to the computer.  I will install Microsoft Outlook 2007 first before doing anything with the phone.  Here is my plan to synch my phone:  1 - Save all my contacts etc. using PIM Backup.  2 - Pull the storage card out for safe keeping (everything is on it rather than the device).  3 - Wipe the phone clean via hard reset and then #228 to reinitialize it. 4 - plug in the USB cable and let the correct WMDC be downloaded and installed.  5 - IF WMDC recognizes the phone, WOO HOO.  6 - Install the ROM upgrade from Verizon and reboot the phone. 7 - Then I will unplug the phone, reinstall my backup of contacts, etc. Shut down the phone, and restart it then.  Next, connect to USB and cross my fingers!!!!!!!!

If you think my planned procedure is off in any way, would appreciate hearing from you.  Thanks.  Will post the results later!!

Well, woo hoo - didn't have to do any of the "planned" procedures.  Decided  to 'wing-it' and just hook it up and see what happens.  Synch perfectly!
