change of language from Arabic to English

Yep I think I can help you.  Through a process of elimination, counting menu options and downloading the Advanced User Guide from http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200911/20091103173453156/GT-I8000_EUG_Open_Eng_Rev.1.0_091103.pdf I managed to switch the language 
1. Power up the phone (of course)
2. Once the main screen has appeared press the "cube" button.
3. Select the blue and silver cog icon (Settings) at bottom right of screen
4. Select the General Settings Icon, third option down (displayed as a puzzle and cog icon)
5. Scroll down to the last but one option. (Samsung TouchWiz UI is the final option).
6. Three Arabic options are displayed. Select the middle option (English).
7. Select the Arabic option at the bottom left of screen (if the following message doesn't appear then I got it mixed up and it should have been the right).
8. You should get an English message asking if you are sure you want to change the setting (You know you do!).
9. Phone reboots and bingo it should be English.

Thanks 2_Die_4 for your tips on how to change the language from arabic to english in omnia II. You have been a great help. I just followed your instructions and it worked in just a few minutes. It saved me from going to samsung mobile phone service center, what a relief! hahaha! once again thank you!

yes they do...on this screenshot it is the 3rd down on the left  then follow the instructions...  they might not be on a down menu  but just look for the menu names...

its as easy as settings/ general settings/ bottom of the scroll page there is language change...   choose english...   a condensed version of above

FYI  THE SETTINGS ICON MAY BE IN A DIFFERENT AREA ON YOUR PHONE SO LOOK FOR THE ICON LIKE THE ONE IM POINTING OUT...

your second picture  thats where you need to be...you did not read my simplified version...forget the puzzle...  see the ling white bar at the bottom of that screen  if you click it there will be 1 more setting   click that one then choose english...  which i believe is the middle option...

its all right there...  once you click the bottom white bar in general settings...  it will add 1 more setting...  click that last setting....  3 choices will probably come up...  IN ARABIC!!!!
CHOOSE THE MIDDLE ONE... it should prompt you to put in a code...put it in  and the phone will take a few min reformatting and will reboot...  if this does not happen you did not do it right and need to try again...if you continue to fail  take it to someone who reads arabic...   more than one person has used this method with success so it works...
