Hi all....first let me say that this is indeed the most informative site on Samsung Omnia phones. I really love this phone so I bought an 8GB Omnia i8000 II from Amazon.com. Problem is, when I booted up the phone, it was in Polish and I don't understand the language.

I have read through the forum rules and checked every solution available but they dont seem to work for me. The closest one I came across was this one but the software is different to the ones shown here: -

http://www.samsung-omnia.org/how-to-b57/change-of-language-from-arabic-to-english/msg67604/#msg67604

I have attached a photo of my screen. If anyone can assist I would be extremely grateful. Thanks a lot.

I got the assistance from an online technician so i'll post the results - Remember this is for the Polish version of the Omnia i8000 II -

Go to the settings (cog wheel) - 1st pic

Then navigate to 3rd photo above, scroll to white bar (located under the divx registration) and click there for more settings to appear. Only setting to appear would be language options.

choose 1st option then click "gotowe".

Scroll down and accept to change language and click done.

Make sure your phone is plugged in to charger. Will take 10 minutes.

Hope this helps others and thanks for the opportunity to make a contribution.

He, he, yes it can be difficult translating things from Polish, in the contexts of a computing, as some of the direct translations from Polish to English don't make sense at all.  Smiley
There are a few words which also have two meanings like free and slow can both be the same word. There can also be up to 7 versions of nouns.
