43. How to remove the Voicemail notification (especialy if you canceled voicemail with the provider but the notification remains)

Open the registry and go to:
\HKCU\System\State\Messages\Vmail

There you have a bunch of keys for various lines. Go into the relevant line and set the Unread key to 0

Don't like your default contacts or phonebook showing duplicated SIM & Phone contacts at the same time?

First install SKTools kit.

Under Tune-up  menu, goto phone, set  "show SIMS items" from default YES to No. Your SIM contacts will instantly be omitted from display (but still in your SIM card). DO NOT soft-reset. This is one tweak that will revert back to default once soft reset is done.

Have you tried ACT? The same settings control you descried above, but without the revert back after soft reset. Oh and free Wink

Bro. what is this ACT? Can you elborate with some screen pic? where and how to down load / install? What are the configuration to set for the above mentioned to work.  Thanks Cheesy

I installed ACT but it's the same. Once I set Show SIM Content from Yes to No, the SIM contacts disappeared from the phonebook. But once soft-reset, they appear again. Goto ACT, the setting went from No to Yes automatically. Exactly the same with SKTools. Any idea why? Could it be a crash betw SKTools & ACT? I verified after I changed the setting from No-Yes using either s/w, the changes will immediately be reflected in the other instantly before soft reset, so I doubt there is any clash.

You can't use Windows Update (in your device) to upgrade WM6.5. That doesn't work.

Bring it to a Samsung Service Center and let them do it (if WM6.5 is already available in your area).

47. how to register divx.

DivX VOD for DivX Mobile

How do I activate my DivX Certified® phone to play DivX® Video-on-Demand (VOD) movies?

To play purchased DivX movies on your Mobile Certified Device, you will first need to complete a one-time registration of your DivX Certified device.

    * Locate the DivX registration code, normally found under “DivX VOD” in your device’s setup menu. Copy this 8 or 10-digit number down. This code location will vary from phone to phone, but usually will be under settings on your device. If you own a certified Phone and cannot find the VOD code, please refer to the user's manual of your device.
    * Make sure you have the latest version of the DivX Player (v7.3 Windows and v7.1 Mac) installed on your computer.
    * Open DivX Player on your computer and from within the VOD menu, select ‘Register a DivX Certified Device...’. You may be prompted to log in or create a DivX account if your account information has not already been saved in DivX Player.
    * Follow the instructions in DivX Player to enter the registration code from step 1 and create a device nickname (e.g. "Cellphone DivX") .
    * DivX Player will download a DivX registration video with the same title as your device nickname (e.g. “Cellphone DivX”).
    * In order to complete the registration process, you will need to transfer and play the registration video on your device. We recommend transferring your file through the USB cable provided with your phone.
    * Once you play the registration file on your device, your registration is complete!

How do I activate my DivX-compatible phone with DivX Mobile Player to play DivX Video-on-Demand (VOD) movies?
First, you will need a DivX User Account. One may have already been created for you when you downloaded DivX Mobile Player.
Once you have a DivX User Account created, open the DivX Mobile Player settings menu, enter your username and password and then from within "Options" or "Menu," select "Register Device."

Go To: HKLM > Software > Microsoft > Inbox > Settings
Change: MMSNoSentMsg name to SMSNoSentMsg
Change: SMSNoSentMsg value to 1
 Soft Reset

Registry Editor is needed to  do this.

This is already set in the 6.5 rom

18. Remove the Samsung skin from Outlook Mobile and go back to the default Microsoft UI By CaptnOz

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\MsgTypes\IPM\Note\DLL
change the value from emform.dll to htmlnote.dll

This didn't seem to make any difference for me.

I noticed that the default value was 'EmForm.dll' so I also tried changing it to 'HtmlNote.dll' in case it's case-sensitive, but again no difference.

But I don't even know if my device is using Outlook Mobile. There isn't an icon for Outlook Mobile. Presumably the default email client (launched by the 'Email' icon) is a skinned Outlook Mobile ?
