A lot of what people download is commercial software..it pays to get the right apps.

Having said that then where does everyone buy their good quality apps from? The internet? I don't need much for my phone because for me it is primarily a phone and a camera but I wouldn't mind the GPS. Thanks again.

i910 on Verizon with **MCapcom's v12 ROM

Unfortunately a lot of applications are not free.
If you are curious what an app does, just google search it and when you'll get to the manufacturer's website, it'll tell what the app does and how much it costs.

BTW... For these questions, please start a new thread... This thread is mainly for application compatibility list, not discussion of them.

Thanks.

May be something else interfering, but IIRC I could never get WVD to work on my Omnia 910. Just tried the new version   1.5 and it locks the Omnia up tight when you try to view or download anthing. Have to soft reset through the hardware button.
A shame. It worked great on my old Hermes.
The maker's website no longer works.

hello. Did you press Menu then Use GPS? It won't work well, if at all, when inside a building. I'm inside now and it's give my location as within 18000 meters, and it can't find any satellites. If I walk down the street using it my location is quite accurate but it can take a while to find you the first time you switch it on. Have you downloaded the satellite info? On the i900 it's called Enhanced GPS with EXTRA Data which you can set to download when the data has expired (7 days) or set it to download when connected to your PC via Activesync, on the i910 it's called something else, the info will be on this forum.

In Google maps make sure you set the GPS settings to use COM 8. Even then it'll take awhile to lock.

Above I said WVD locked up my Omnia. I think what might have been messing it up was Conduits Pocket Player. I removed that and it solved several problems. CPP seemed to add a file to the root directory called Radio Log or something close to that that kept growing every time I used CPP. Couldn't delete it. At 9mb, I hard reset and re-installed WVD 1.5 and it works, but won't do YouTube. Seems to do the others OK though.

For the i910 it's called "QuickGPS".

GoogleMaps v.3.3x does not work on the Omnia, Google knows about it and is working on it...I guess.

Thanks for the info, I won't bother updating to that version then.
