This may or may not be a dumb question. I have the verizion omnia i910. When performing a hard reset will it erase your contacts as well?? If so where...and how do you back them up before performing the hard reset??

Also, will all the programs that have been installed to the internal memory as well and storage memory erase? I installed the vzappzone (now realize I don't need it) then deleted it and at startup I get a notification saying it won't open properly (which i don't really care about but it's annoying).

I also installed the wrong version of m2dc and it wouldn't open, so i deleted it but it still shows up in my programs list. Will that go away with a hard reset? hopefully.

any help will be appreciated, thanks!

Hard reset bring you back to last rom.

Install cab below for contacts backup, after hard reset, use it to active your contacts backup. MUST place it in your Storage Card so that it will not be formatted.

aaronhome86, you have posted your question 3 times & also pm me.

You posted in the wrong section. If hard reset can't solve, send in for repair.

I am giving you 7 days to remove your 2 duplicate posts, by then if they are not remove, I will remove you.

Hi,

I found that Option 2 works.  Initially ALL Options do not work.  When I removed the SIM and memory card, Option 2 works within minutes.

Hope this helps to those finding hard to understand why any of the options does not work.

Word of warning for option #1 (soft reset) -- from experience.

I'm using a 6.5 ROM on Verizon and did it today.  I tried to take a shortcut by using the "Clear All Data" button.

It means what it says Sad

I had to dial *228 and use option 1 to even be able to make a call.  I recovered, but it took 2 attempts of *228 and option 1 for it to work again.

Whichever option you choose, backup your data first.

Al hard resets will reset back to factory setting or last rom flash.

what will happen if you connect it to your PC via USB cable? If you'll be able to access you files on your device, you'll be able to back up your contacts and calendar entries (including tasks)

The weird thing is, the phone only freezes once I unlock the screen with my password. When i connect it to my computer, it works until I put in the password to unlock it.
