Try this method too...

1. Type *7465625*638*# to set
2. Type your MCC/MNC code (list here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_Network_Code), e.g.26003 for Polish ORANGE
3. Type your new NCK (12345678), then OK
4. Type *#7465625 to check your lock
5. Type #7465625*638*# and type your NCK (12345678)

This worked fine for me. Perhaps the people who are having trouble changed some setting (like the singapure trick) for installing other roms.

It worked for me using a sim card issued by the locked company: i.e.  I unlocked my TMN/Portugal Omnia, but the sim card inserted when I unlocked it was a TMN card. And it is unblocked, since it accepted a Vodafone card I used to test it.

richiestaana: I really don't think the NCK code is important as long as it is a eight digit code and is repeated in the last step. Apparently, what these code do is relock with a new password (NCK code) and then allow you to unlock with that password, overriding previous settings (or so it seems, I'm no techie). Try a different MCC/MNC combo or if you changed the rom and the "singapure" setting, try putting it all back to original and unlocking from there, maybe that'll work. I don't know, I'm just brainstorming trying to help, not giving any concrete answers, so I'm not responsible for any bricks.

Good luck

POSSIBLE SOLUTION...

Word has it that it will not work on the HJxx and HKx and above ROMS.

Try flashing to a lower (older) ROM, try the unlock, then Upgrade the ROM to whatever you like!

Can you guys please post what ROM version you are running when it doesn't work!

Also, are you using the correct Simcard for the phone (eg. The carrier it's locked to)?

Failed try with a Spanish ROM of Vodafone.
PDA: i900XJHH1/BAHH2
Phone: i900BUHG5

Any other one with the same problem?
Any idea of how could I do for unlocking it?

Why vodafone has different policies in different countries...?

Thanks for your work mates

I didn't try to downgrade the ROM.
Would it be possible to install the Manilla ROM from Modaco and unlock the terminal in this ROM?
I would have a new ROM and I would unlock the termnial (two main things I want to do at the moment).

If not, I suppose I have to downgrade the ROM, unlock and then install the new one. Am I wrong?

What ROM do you suggest to choose to downgrade first?

Rom: PDA i900XCHJ2/BBHJ2 phone i900BBHJ1.

I think my rom is one of the ones it shouldn't have worked on, but it did and I've tested it with a Vodafone simcard (my simcard and rom were correct when I unlocked). I think using the correct simcard might important, in order to "relock" the phone with the new code. just my 2c.

I've successfully unlocked my phone, having a XHHH2/AEHH2 ROM!

What I did is this: Went to the registry, HKCU\System\State\PHONE, and wrote down the value of IMSI entry. Then I started Lock.lnk (loaded the lock screen), and tried to lock it. For the MCC/MNC I tried to enter that IMSI entry value by first entering 5 digits (failed), and finally 6 digits, and succeed! For NCK I used 12345678, so no change.

Those, who couldn't unlock their phone yet may try this and report back here if they's succeed or not.

It worked for me 2 !!! I used the 6 digits from the value of the IMSI entry in the registry and than no problem. Thanks for the posting.  Wink

I also tried this method having the Manilla ROM.

If you don't have a register editor, you can try different numbers as following:
e.g. :
Vodafone Spain
Network code(MCC MNC): 214 01
But you need 6 digits, so try different ones until you unlock it...
Mine was 214018, but in the same company with the same Omnia model, there were people who had to use 214012.

Let's be free...

Hi,

Finally, I've unlocked my Omnia using the steps posted with 6 digit MCC/MNC code. I used to encode 51503 (Smart Network-Philippines) but status is always failed to lock status and now I entered 515031 to make it 6 digits and proceed with the steps then finally unlocked it...  My Omnia is i900DXHJ1/DXHJ1.

Thanks to all.
