How do you replace them exactly?I don't understand. And when you say shift you mean move from one directory in my device to an exact same directory created by me(the user) in storage card?So the device won't mind reading those files from my storage(8 gb) instead of "my device"?

Replace them using activesync with Omnia connected to pc with data cable. Copy the files from pc & paste in Omnia's Windows folder, message will prompt "confirm to replace" click yes. Soft reset Omnia.

Shift files only if you do not intend to use the program.

Connect Omnia to pc using data cable on activesync. Window will show up on pc once pc detected the Omnia.

you must use total commander (free) or resco explorer (not free) to overwrite sys files

is there a way to find out how much ROM each application stored in the My Storage is taking up without uninstalling?

ive tried the steps mentioned here but i only have 9MB storage memory left. looks like i have to start uninstalling some apps.

Presently no. You have to hard reset & write down your rom left after each installation in order to find out how much rom each installation took away.

^ thanks.

i discovered something that would save you a lot of ROM.  i just upgraded to the latest version of SPB Mobile Shell - 3.5.1 RC.

after installation, it freed up more than 4MB in my ROM.

i've attached the CAB installer below.  also, here's a link to the SPB forum:

agis map and agis software MUST be installed in the storage card in order to work.

It will still take up space in the device memory but minimum.

I try to copy and overwrite the mp3 files in the /windows folder with the 288bytes version.
But after I copy the files over, it doesn't seems to increase the free memory but instead used up more storage memory.
What I found with the mp3 files is they had an extra space at the end of the names, so they were actually doubling up. I remaoved the space and then Total Commander asked if I wanted to overwrite the files.
Why is that so Huh?

For the smaller mp3 files to replace the bigger files, rename them by copy the file name & not manually input them so that the 2 files have the same name. After replacing & soft reset, go to Omnia file explorer into Windows to see if there are any duplicate mp3 files. If yes, you have rename them wrongly. If no, good job.
