I also tried this method having the Manilla ROM.
If you don't have a register editor, you can try different numbers as following: e.g. : Vodafone Spain Network code(MCC MNC): 214 01 But you need 6 digits, so try different ones until you unlock it... Mine was 214018, but in the same company with the same Omnia model, there were people who had to use 214012. Let's be free... |

thanks DD, ive tried this but found the WM screen a bit naff compared to iTunes (it also found around 4000 songs so I think i've not been deleting my old ones properly from iTunes!). Its just because the library was so big, in case anyone had done this before and could suggest a painless way to do it.
Cheers for the quick resonse though! |

Verizon. I tried the one we already have. Too buggy. It bombs out when you try to change folders. Thinking that perhaps there was a newer version, I downloaded from the site. Same thing. I am discarding it for now until some dlls are changed to make it work better. On the Verizon version it is just not worth the trouble. AFAIK, everyone has it, even on the i900. It is under \Windows. Or enable it via the registry. |

The \Windows folder is a hidden folder. Show Hidden Files and Folders and show protecting operating system files in Vista, and you can see the \Windows folder just fine in Vista. WMDC is not the culprit here, it is just the attribute(s) assigned to the folder..

fine...
if you wanna do the hard reset, of course your contact will gone... the most important thing to do is to sync it first with your pc... and after do the hard reset sync it again and you will have the contacts... and about the music and pictures, it depend on where you save it... if you save it on the device, it will be gone... but if you put it on your storage card, it will be ok if our just hard reset the device, not the storage card / my storage.... ^^ |

I Haven't done this but iI would guess you could transfer your itunes into windows media center. Then sync your Omnia with windows media center. It should transfer them straight to your phone. You shouldn't lose any info.
Hope this helps. DD |
