well if you read fully...  id say minimal...  if you dont  and try...60%...
just flash your pda...  and no  windows is in the pda...  everything will be ready once loade...

not sure  i mean not sure the type of file youre loading...  if its a rar..  you need a rar converter...  winrar or 7zip will work...

Ahh, I see .7z. Still confused as to what to download since theres a bunch of diff folders (AIJH1, JB3, JC1) and so on. Are these different version? lets say I want to flash my phone with "Rapid's Semi-Lite ROM with TF3D. I would download AIJH1 and JH1 under TF3D? Is there a How to Guide for general flashing, or does each ROM have its own way of being...uhh, flashed? Sorry for the torrent of questions, trying to understand all of this. Thanks again.

Can somebody please help me out in regards to flashing the right CSC? I know it's not required, however, I want to flash Rapid's/n00body's JJ1 2.5 sense rom found at Modaco, and it suggests to flash with an appropriate CSC or problems may occur.

I have done lots of Googling, and forum reading before posting here to try and get help.

I have an i8000 from Bell, that is unlocked for my Telus plan, in Canada.

What CSC should I use? I know the CSC code for Canada is BMC, but Im guessing I shouldn't even be using that since I'm on Telus now... and even if it was I can't even find a BMC CMC anywhere.

ok I will try the one they are recommending. I am just a bit scared it will lock my Omnia again... to get it unlocked I made a 2 day trip to Vancouver (after doing two tries at fastgsm.com for $20 each -- wast of money for Omnia 2!) , because the only person/way I could find out who could unlock it was someone there. So just trying to prevent from going back there. But I'm guessing flashing the wrong CSC  probably can't even lock the phone back to Bell?

Thank Val for your continuous, quick replies. Your effort moderating and answering in this forum is much appreciated.

I'd like to try the naked ROM on my i8000L from Bell (I'm using it on AT&T in the US).  I'm burning out from reading so much on this, but still have a few questions that I can't find any answers to (here, Modaco, XDA, etc).  I'd really hate to screw something up.

I'm using Octans 2.14, and want to flash with one of Rapid's naked nb0 ROMs, and am planning on using the original Bell CSC that I found and downloaded (since it seems to be recommended to flash the CSC at the same time as the PDA).

Currently my phone is:
PDA: I8000LUGIJ6
CSC: I8000LBMCIJ6
PHONE: I8000LUGIJ6

In Octans 2.14:

 - Set Priority Bit?
 - Skip OS updating by MoviNAND image?
 - Erase NV PDA?
 - Erase CSC?
 - Keep Eboot CFG?
 - Preserve device's contents?  ->  I'm guessing keeps My Storage intact?

Can anyone tell me what they have set these to when flashing just the CSC and PDA?  I don't like to ignore things when I don't know for sure what they do.
Thanks for any help!

dont have to flash the csc if you dont want to ..i mean if its already the same csc its redundant to flash it to the same thing and flashing one less thing means less chance of screwing up...  all you need to flash is the pda....   trust me on this...  i have an l from south america....  ive flashed it a hundred times trying out different roms....

Thanks for the response, I will trust you, I'll try just flashing the PDA and leave the CSC alone.  When you did just the PDA, did you select any of the check boxes in my last post?
