i too have now been using my own ROMs, i have just managed to get my apps in their for cookign too.

So i can basically make any kind of ROM i wish.

I don't know whether to start releasing some, or make custom ROMs for people (maybe for donation), i am not sure yet.

Suggestions welcome.

@ phr

send her to me immediately.....ROM being built for you, what do you want on it?

I can build ROMs, i can add apps, M2D, remove stuff, edit registry, build any kind of ROM. I am even experimenting with new SYS & XIP files from Sztupy & Lufeig.

Not fully got the hang of it (neither have Sztupy & Lufeig, yet). Running my own 07 ROM, HL2 clean as whistle with M2D, and all the usual apps you see in my signature. Also running XIP from CE OS 5.2.20954 (which is new).

Tried the SYS too (same build), but very unstable. Lufeigs ROM (his 04d version - with new XIP & SYS), runs quite well, better than mine. So for now, i using the new XIP files (phone parts).

Anyone wants a ROM, let me know. I might or might not make one for you. Saying that i need to find somewhere to host my stuff first.

Keep an eye out.

Guys best rom out there at the moment is DXHL2 PV11M, quick M2D UI, plenty storage, and very very quick GPS with IGO8.

Very happy with performance, woks well and very stable no lock ups, installed a few programs coreplayer, phonex, etc works well, but i do have one issue which is the new opera version with flashlite 3.1, the browser keeps closing when flash videos are on a page im surfing, i cant reply on the forums as it in Vietnamese but if any one is using this rom and is not having any probs with flashlite 3.1 let me know.
Thanks

I have just made a ROM on DXHL2 platform with M2D cooked in. Also running new 20954 XIP files too with .net 3.5 and flashlite 3.1 (plus some other small apps).

Super clean ROM, onlys uses 10mb out of 150mb.

Installed new Opera and works flawlessly. Will be rebuilding tonight tho, some apps that i cooked in, were not cooked in properly, but ROM is very quick and stable.

I will be uploading some ROMs for download soon.

Keep a look out....

This could be interesting.....is there a new official rom out by samsung? or the roms you guys are cooking based on the newest rom already?

Shokka9: Looking forward to yours, i think it may be cleaner as this rom im using has only 95mb free space on fresh flash.

yes, we are using the current latest ROM from Samsung (unofficial) , the HL2 series.

AI series should be out soon though, as we are in a new year, new month etc and AI is next.

HL2 is okay, but to be honest HK3 was the best for me, very stable, and quick all round with excellent GPS lock times.

But yeah, HL2 is generally a bigger ROM as standard (it has new widgets and some other stuff), but as i clean them out, it gives you all the space back, so 150mb as total is quite large compared to some older ROMs.

Take care

hey peeps

just made another ROM, i have lost count, but this one is 08 official (kind of).

It DXHL2, very clean with M2D (googlemaps & YouTubePlay), M2DC, G-Alarm 1.0, ClearTemp, TorchButton, Total Commander, Tegic Keypads, HTC dlls, OmniaSIP with .net 3.5, flashlite 3.1, all cooked in.

After flash it's only using 14mb, out of 147.91mb. I managed to get 150mb free last time, but i left the IMEI settings in this time.

Just installed; coreplayer, psShutXP, windows live, Opera 9.5 b15233 (new one).

Not bad, saves me so much time, if i can cook in the important stuff. I leave windows live and opera out for main reason of clean ROM. If you want you don't hve to install. IE is built into Windows so internet is cooked in anyway. WIndows live is a personal thing, i have hotmail, so need access to it.

Building is working well for me at the mo. Will be uploading some soon.....

hopefully this week (tonight).

Gonna remove OmniaSIP tho, it errors at boot (until you set an option & save), and also crashes in landscpae mode.

Other than that, the ROM is splendid. Gonna make a quick generic theme for M2D too, so you know its mine.

Just need to upload to MediaFire (i have 3G mobile broadband, so it could take a while!!). Will see tho.

All my ROMs will now have the new 20954 XIP in them, i will put the SYS in when it is customisable and more stable, until then its stock SYS all the way (but it is very stable).

Thatnks for your interest Ferdimage

UPDATE on the release on my ROM.....first of many (hopefully).

I have now got a ROM for release...i am just waiting on an email from ageye (G-Alarm creator) to confirm that i can use his app in my ROM. I have got permission for ClearTemp from Vicott Wong, the creator.

Once i have the go ahead from ageye, i will upload to mediafire tonight.

Quickly after flash it only uses 14mb out of 148mb. So memory is good. It is a very clean ROM with not much in it.

I have everything ready, just need the go ahead.

I may release the same ROM without M2D, so there are two different versions available. We shall see.

Take care and keep looking...

it looks newer..

what ROM are you using? To be honest, the XIP doesn't make any difference to you or me. It the SYS that has all the extra's.

However i (we) cannot get the SYS to work as it should (without a lot of work).

Lufeig has it running ok (stable), but still with bugs.

I don't like bugs, so i try to make as stable and bug free ROMs as possible. Also, with the new Opera installed (b15233) you can goto the YouTube site and view video's there (just change advanced settings to Desktop Computer)

I on this site, like all day!!  Wink

Hi Shokka,

Can't you make me a rom enabling the Omnia to do Voice Dialling via a BT device.  Correcting Samsung's mistake Please!  If you like soccer I can perhaps pay you back by offering you a place to stay for the World Cup in 2010 !!
