:)thank you. Very useful, and partly answers a question I asked on another thread. So i'm correct in thinking the Omnia I have,BOHH5, bought in Gibraltar, was intended for German market via TMobile, with firmware August 2008 version?
cheers,

Hello!:

This is my first message here. I am a newbie about the Samsung Omnia firmware scene. Tired of not finding firmwares on the official Samsung and Samsung Mobile websites I decided to look in Google. I found out that the upgrading firmware page for the Omina was very hidden in the Samsung Mobile website. Indeed, I still haven't found a direct link to it in Samsung Mobile. But what's worse: There isn't any suitable firmware for my Omnia version.

So, after searching more and more I arrived to this forum, which looks like really helpful by the way.

I've been checking the network carrier codes on this thread and haven't been able to find mine, which is XJ (Vodafone from Spain).

Maybe you want to update the list with this code. The phone version is i900XJHH1/BAHH2 .

I'm gonna check this forum to know how to backup this firmware (I've odd habits and love making a backup of the original firmware ALWAYS) and then, maybe, test one of the unofficial firmwares which you use over here.

Salutes.

I also have one Omnia bought from Vodafone Spain.
The version is: PDA: i900XJHK3/BAHK2
                  Phone: i900BUHK2

I get the incorrect version when I try to download from Spanish Samsung Omnia  Firmware.
There is any newer version, official version to flash my device?

cosminn: Recently it was announced by Samsung that they would update the whole Omnia series to Windows Mobile v. 6.5. I hope that they really comply with their own promises.

"Another interesting (and expected) news coming from Samsung is that all devices from the Omnia series are going to get a Windows Mobile 6.5 update. This definitely applies to Omnia II, OmniaLITE B7300, OmniaPRO B7610 and B7320. No official word about the lineage ancestor I900 yet, despite of the rumors."

There are a lot of rumors, some to say it will be a wm 6.5 version for I900, others to say otherwise ... we´ll wait and see.
My problem is even if they release a wm 6.5 version, with my I900v device (Vodafone version) on the Samsung firmware page I will get an "incorrect version" error.
