I have downloaded the new ROM but when i install it , said " incorrect software version, plase check the device "  Cry

My Omnia version is :
- PDA :i900DFHJ6/DFHJ6
- Phone : i900XXHJ1
what is the code mean, which country it comes from ? I use Vista in my PC .

Please advise

If you are in america you probably have i910 which doesnt have any roms avaliable yet. But if buy it from another country. you can see your rom version in START > SETTINGS > SYSTEM > VERSION,
 THE pda and phone values. And find update for that roms

Because this is only OFFICIAL UPDATES (http://www.samsungmobile.com/support/omnia/index.jsp) that samsung supports and India is not on that list. sorry.

shokka's is custom rom made by our user shokka9 it has removed some stuff from it that you dont actually needed and putt some other extra stuff that are not in the official rom

just to clarify..

My ROMs are always based on standard ROMs (in the DXIA5 case, this is based on the Official ROM from Samsung).

Just look in the kitchen for further info!

Take care folks..

This thread is purely for Standard/Official ROMs (firmware)

Bad news. As i was searching the web today i found an article that was saying that WM 6.5 wont be avaliable for any phones that are released before the MWC 2009. So that omnia wont get WM6.5 official release. Sad Cry

don't wanna gloat.....BUT i told you so!!

Really tho, it was never gonna happen. They spend millions on R&D, why would they update an old device (they won't). Companies only ever focus on the new devices, why would we buy the new stuff if the old stuff was better??

When WM6.5 is officially released, then we will port it to the Omnia. there are version about and i could make one myself, but they are not TRUE 6.5. There are bugs which does not warrant a build for me.

But eventually there will be more stable versions available soon.
