If you're unsure about flashing then leave it, for now. If you follow the guides and there are plenty on here and on the internet, it is 99% safe but there is always a risk that your PC could crash at a vital moment etc and then it ends in tears, although lots of people have flashed loads of times without any problems.

If you have an i900 then it's OK, but there is a small amount of risk with all flashing. Do a lot of reading about how to do it first.
