If you are after an Android smartphone, it's hard to find reasons not to buy a Nexus 4. At only $300 SIM-free (when most flagships charge $200 on a 2-year contract), the Nexus 4 flaunts a 4.7" WXGA IPS display and the most powerful chipset in an Android phone at the moment. It has of course the latest Android OS (Jelly Bean) and it will be the first in line to get the new ones as they come in. The Nexus 4 aggressively undercuts competitors' pricing as it sets out to wipe the floor with most of them in terms of speed and performance.

In terms of multimedia support, the Google Nexus 4 plays lots of video and audio formats (MP4, WMV, AVI, MP3, AAC, etc). The viewing angles are fantastic, providing us better opportunities to read articles and watch movies than most other Android smartphones. Yet it’s not perfect for movie fans to watch HD contents, since you don’t have much space to store HD movies with the memory capped at either 8GB or 16GB. The following guide shows you how to create your movie library on Google Nexus 4 by shrinking/converting DVD to Google Nexus 4 with the easiest method so that you can play the favorite DVD movies on Google Nexus 4 wherever you are. And you can put up to 10 movies onto the Google Nexus 4 device as long as you like.

What you need to rip a DVD/convert DVD ISO to Google Nexus 4?

1. PC or Mac computer with built-in D;

2. DVD Ripper for PC (Windows XP above) or DVD Ripper for Mac (Mac OS X 10.5 and later)

(Both are 30% OFF now on Pavtube New Year Special Offer)

Part 1. A Typical Guide for Converting DVD/ISO/IFO to Google Nexus 4 playable video

Step 1. Click the "DVD" icon to load DVD movie from ROM, "ISO/IFO" icon to import movie from DVD ISO or ISO. When importing DVD movie you need to keep your PC/Mac networked so as to access keys for hacking DVD copy-protections.

Step 2. Unfold the movie directory and select Main movie.

Step 3. Select preferred language from drop-down list of "Subtitles" and "Audio" box.

Step 4. Click "Format" bar and select "Android >> Google Nexus 7 H.264 Video (*.mp4)" format for converting DVD movie to Google Nexus 4. The format compresses a 100min DVD movie to 1-1.5GB 1280x800 .mp4 video with pretty good picture.

Step 5. Click "Convert" to start ripping DVD to Google Nexus 4 compatible video.

Step 6. When conversion completes click the "Open" button to find the converted files and then you can transfer the movies to Google Nexus 4 for playback.

This DVD to Google Nexus converter also lets you specify output file size. See compress and customize DVD movie for Google Nexus 4.
