Its impossible to hit the bandwidth cap on the phone, unless you are tethering, and in that case, you are supposed to have that additional feature on your account, I am sure for that very reason.

Spartigus,

As far as i Know yes to your question. I get an edge icon from ATT when GPRS is connected. And give thanks with a cookie up and to the left. Your very welcome.

DD

Again thank you very much and enjoy your cookie!!!
I am looking forward to getting my Omnia next week and can't wait to start messing with ROMs and different apps on the phone!!!!  Thanks from the newbie!!!!! Any recommendations would be very much appreciated!! Grin

As far as recomending apps for I910 I don't know much about it. I've heard SPB works well with it. Any I910er's have any app recomendations?

i think 99% of the apps that work for the 900 also work for the 910. the difference between the 2 is really in the GPS features and some of the extra hidden menus.

Thank you very much for all your incite and help concerning these questions!!!  It seems to me that just keeping the Data plan for $30/mo is the way to go with the i910.  At least they offer that plan now opposed to the $45/mo plan.

As for Apps, I will look around and see what works for me.  Can't wait for some ROMs to be developed for the i910....  Again, many thanks!!!!

Handango, pocketgear, 1800pocketpc, pocketppcfreeware.mobi, freewareppc, freewarepocketpc.net are all good sites for downloads. They pretty much have the same things.
I also read about samsungs on appstore.

You are correct, but wrong at the same time..  its in the details of the contract. And there is a way to get canceled, but like I said.. its mostly so that they can have a legal backup for shuttin your account down due to using certain programs that might hog bandwidth, like p2p stuff.. But for most users they will never see that cap reached.. BUT it has been done to people..

Also check out SPBsoftwarehouse.com Lakeridgesoftware.com and remember that most of these guys offer fully functional trial programs, so you can really get a feel for it before you buy.  And make sure you get a pim backup program, I think there is one posted in the how what where thread..  that way you dont lose all your contacts when you decide to hard reset or if you have a problem with a program and are forced to do that.
