i got the omnia i realise i cant seem to hide photo from photo slide all the pics or photo on my phone or my memory appears on it, i want to hide some photo which are more private so there is a smaller chance people would see it. by hiding i dont just mean hide the tag, i mean not showing up on photo slide.
also from the time i got the phone till now sms notification doesnt work, i dont get vibration or sound, i keep it default but still doesnt work, all i get it a screen notification saying i got a message. but i dont get the sound or vibration alert.

put them in a separate folder buried somewhere only you would know of.
media album defaults to the last used folder i think. If not it defaults to the DCIM folder
where your camera pics are stored.

I've never tried it with pictures but try filebarricader.

It works for my text files, outlook can't even sync the files that I have encrypted.

Lock it with File Barricader

http://www.samsung-omnia.org/third-party-samsung-omnia-software/must-have-applications-for-omnia/msg4591/#msg4591

Any photo you hide them anywhere, they will still appear in the Photo Slides, even properties change to hidden.

File Barricader is no longer available and I've tried placing the folder in Storage Card but the pictures are still showing. Is there anyway to edit the permission of the folders or files?

Thanks.

If you are using the stock photo viewer it searches the phone for pics to display. You don't have a choice of what it shows or doesn't show.

Try to use another photo viewer i use S2V it is free and although you have to navigate through the folders to find the pics i find it much easier. Especially since i have tons of music on here and all the album art shows up.

Yeap, tried S2V, pretty cool and easy to use. Wrote about it here: http://www.careace.net/2009/07/07/slide-to-view-another-way-of-viewing-your-pictures/
