How to backup contacts for windows mobile phone to computer

How to install iMobileTool Contacts Backup?

Step 1. Download iMobileTool Contacts Backup from HERE
Step 2. Check the system version of your mobile phone. Select "Start" -> "Settings" -> "System" -> "About".



Step 3. Copy the installation file "iMobileToolContactsBackupSetup.CAB" with the right version as you have checked to your mobile device. You may need to connect your device to a host computer using ActiveSync. You can also transfer the file using a memory card.
Step 4. On your device, navigate to the location of the CAB file using File Explorer. Click on the CAB file (displayed as the following screenshot) and click "Install" to begin installation.



Step 5. Now installation completes. Select "OK" to continue.

Done.
 
How to backup contacts from windows mobile to computer ?

Step 1. Click "start" and then select programs. You will see the follow screen:



Step 2. Run "ContactsBackup". You will see the follow screenshot:



Step 3. Click "Backup" button, and then you will see the follow screenshot:



Now you will want to input a backup file name, select folder, choose a backup file type(txt file or cbf file) and select a save location.


Step 4. Then click "Save" to start backup



Step 5. After backup completes, you can see the backup file on your phone and transfer it to your computer easily by ActiveSync.

Done.
 
How to restore contacts to windows mobile phone ?

Step 1. Run "ContactsBackup". You will see the follow screenshot:



Step 2. Click the "Restore" button,and then you will see the follow screenshot:



Step 3. Select the file you want to restore and click "OK" to restore:



Done.

This one only lets you get the first 20 contacts unless you pay 19.95 for the full program. On top of that it does nothing else for the rest of your files. I found this one for free and it does so much more.
