If you encounter some problems & after several attempts still no improvement, try Hard Reset to return to latest flash FW setting. Back up your stuff first before the Hard Reset if you choose to format your Storage.

Option 1

Software Hard Reset:

On your Omnia, go to Settings/System/Hard Reset

Hard Reset options will appear on the screen for

a.Main Memory - Reset
b.My Storage - Reset
c.Storage Card - Format

A pop up will ask for confirmation & user is to enter "1234" to proceed.
The phone resets, lingers on the samsung logo for a bit then the familiar Windows mobile device start up screen, which takes you through the start up process if you tap the screen to set up...
You may have seen this when booting up your phone initially
Alignment
Set date/time
Password

Option 2

Hard Reset using the hard keys:

1.Press soft reset hole beside the power button.
2.Press Call and Cancel Button together when you see the Samsung Omnia on the screen.
3.Reset Screen appear with "Are you sure you want to format? Format or Cancel".
This hard reset does not erase the 8/16GB memory. To reset everything, use
the software hard reset > Settings/System/Hard Reset.
There is also option to format the storage card.

A trick to use for Option 2 - by asctony

1. just lay the omnia on a flat surface,
2. use one hand and two fingers to press (and hold)  SEND and END buttons.
3. use other hand with stylus to soft reset  phone.

Option 3

Hard Reset by dialing code:

Use your Omnia dialing pad & key in

*2767*3855# - doing this will hard reset without warning

Wizard, can you put a note on method 3, that it will erase your 8GB/16GB internal memory.

I just tried that method, so .. you know what happened ... hehe

default software of omnia i900 will not be deleted, only your stuff in the 8/16gb.

3rd party applications need to reinstall.

Option 2 may not work with all versions im guessing. It doesnt work on my phone anyways.
Ive tried using the soft key with the stylus. pushing repeatedly both hard buttons. holding both hard buttons. holding all 3 (power hang up and dial)
looks like im gonna hafta try Option 3..... Cry

EDIT: Option 3 works...

posted this here before, but there were some issues with people saying it wasnt working. it works for me, and someone on a different forum tried it and it's worked for them too, so i'll repost my instructions:

- WORKS for verizon omnia 910 (dont know about omnia 900)

1. turn off your phone normally
2. put the phone on a flat surface like a table
3. use your left hand to press and hold the 2 hard buttons on the front (answer and end)
4. continue holding these buttons, then take your right hand and press and hold the power button on top (not the little one u need the clip for)
5. continue holding all 3 buttons for at least 7- 8 seconds, even after the phone turns on

you should see a screen asking you if you want to format. press the hard answer key for yes. like i said this will erase everything on your phone (possibly your storage card if u have one) so back everything up and take your microsd card out just to be safe. with this method you dont need a paperclip or stylus or anything like that.
