Hard Reset using the hard keys:

1.Press soft reset hole beside the power button.
2.Press Call and Cancel Button together when you see the Samsung Omnia on the screen.
3.Reset Screen appear with "Are you sure you want to format? Format or Cancel".
This doesn't seem to work for me..
is it because I have an i900 not i910?
I use a device password also. Of course I know my password. So, that shouldn't prevent it, should it?

Hard Reset using the hard keys:
1. place omnia on a flat surface
2. use 2 fingers to press and hold on the CALL and END CALL buttons
3. use stylus to soft reset phone
Does the fone have to be "on" for this to work? Because nothing seems to happen if it's "off".
(Even so it doesn't seem to work when "on" either.

Am I supposed to hold all buttons until the format screen appears? Or,  ... What else.. Huh? Embarrassed

My apologies for my ignorance. Normally I would Hard Reset (If necessary) with the software options.
This would always work perfectly. Only this time my device won't boot (for unrelated reasons of my own stupidity) and I'm not having any luck with these steps listed here. Short of taking it to the Place-Of-Purchase, I'm stumped. ( and perhaps,  Stoopid  Undecided Lol))

Any assistance or clarification would be appreciated...!   Cheesy

So I've persevered with it throughout the day and achieved success.
I'm Stoked.  Grin

I just "pressed and held" the Send and End keys together and kept poking (jab and release) the soft reset button.
Each time the startup animation began I immediately poked soft reset again. Still holding Send and End.
On or about the tenth time (or so), the format screen showed.

Worked a treat.  ALL GOOD  Cool

Hopefully someone can help, I have a i900 which was running on some kind of 6.5 setup. Uninstalled a keyboard and it asked if it could reset to make the changes, I agreed. When it boots up it shows Samsung, does the boot-up animation and then goes blank. I have tried 'method 2' so many times my fingers hurt. I have tried what was described above (keep resetting each time the animation appears until it works) but after multiple attempts that hasn't worked. Is there any reason why my i900 would refuse to follow the rules?

Did a bit of digging online and worked it out. Hopefully posting here might help someone.
When you press the call and end key together you have to press them as far away from the optical joystick as possible. If you press them down too hard you also press down the joystick and the process doesn't work.

I tried every method described for ages but it wasn't until I read this that it worked. While pressing the two buttons, try pressing the optical joystick button and see if it depresses, if not then you are pressing too hard in the wrong place. Use the edge of the buttons and press a little more lightly and it should work.

You cannot reset if you are pressing all three buttons at once!

I am facing a weird problem. After Hard Reset of my main memory as stated in the option -1 the phone has restarted. After start it asking me to "Align Screen" by tapping a "+" target. I am tapping the target thousand time but its not completing. If I restart my phone, it again appears. Now I can not start my phone at all. Please help me urgently.

That's... usually what happens after you hard reset your phone... How hard are you tapping your screen, exactly? With your finger or with a stylus? How old is your phone? How is it that you can not start at all, anymore?

Sounds to me like your touchscreen has stopped responding altogether...
