HI guys. It's my first time here.

So I have unlocked my Omnia i910v.

I live in Spain and my carrier is Vodafone SP. My rom version is XJHK3/BAHK2 and I used the second method in the firs post. The process was easy and fast.I used my vodafone sim card.

Thanx a lot for posting the thread and giving us the opportunity to unlock our devices and be free.

You mean I900 right? Some might get confused and i don't think that I910's can run that rom

Ok so it worked for my i900v (Vodacom - South Africa) even using a five-digit MCC/MNC.

However, since doing this I have been unable to get a data connection. I need to RELOCK the phone in order to be able to access the data network. I think this is a way the Service Provider uses to control access to the data network since they don't require a username/password.

What I'll try next is locking my phone to another network when I'm in another country (e.g. Swisscom in Switzerland) and see if that works.

A Mobile Network Code (MNC) is used in combination with a Mobile Country Code (MCC) (also known as a "MCC / MNC tuple") to uniquely identify a mobile phone operator/carrier using the GSM, CDMA, iDEN, TETRA and UMTS public land mobile networks and some satellite mobile networks. The ITU-T Recommendation E.212 defines mobile country codes.

no any sim will work...  just go by chunk and richies way.  i have now 2 i900L's and both unlocked easily.  1 from brazil and 1 from jamaica.  both were a piece of cake.   like richie said  instead of 12345678  any 8 digit combo...i used all 1's...

heres a great help in looking for the carrier codes...

happy unlocking!!

Hi,

Just like to pass on my thanks for this information.
I recently loaded a custom ROM and a custom phone bin
to my OMNIA I900L and discovered my previously unlocked
unit was now network locked. I had to use an old SIM card
which was actually no longer authorised to be able to use
procedure 2 which unlocked the phone.
When I first tried using my carriers authorised
card I continued to receive unlock errors. So for those
having this issue this is another procedure to try.
