Finally pulled the trigger on an i910, having read through this thread, am I right in assuming since the i910 is CDMA locked in canada (Telus) that there's no way to unlock it (much like for Verizon)?

thks in advance.

I am read all of the post in this thread, I try to following the instruction to unlock my Omnia, but nothing happen to my phone.   Sad

I am just thinking that all instruction in this thread it's only available/working for Omnia I900 (GSM) and not working for Omnia I910 (CDMA).

Let me know if you can unlock this phone (Omnia I910). This phone is locked by Verizon.

well again which its been said in this thread many times but ill say it again

CDMA CANNOT BE UNLOCKED!!  ONLY GSM....CDMA CAN ONLY BE FLASHED TO ANOTHER CARRIER.....

hope this clears up any  confusion

I've been reading on Howardsforum that the CDMA Omnia phone can only be unlocked by calling the provider (Bell - for $75).  Does that mean what you're saying

is that they're simply unlocking it to go to another provider, or that the phone itself is unlocked so I can play w/ installing GPS software, MMS etc..?

Thks.

I really searched everywhere before posting this email but couldn't solve my problem. I tried unlocking my omnia i900 for 3 days but no hope... i tried upgrading my phone from samsungs official website to 6.1 latest upgrade but it didn't work at first, then i read in a website that i needed to change my phones language by pressing some numbers.I did it as stated on that website and changed to singapore and downloaded the upgrade for singapore from samsungs official website, however everything went smooth till i had network key pin which i couldnt manage to unlock i tried all carrier's numbers i am not kidding lol... but nothing seems to work. before i upgraded my phone it was dxhk3 now its dxia5. i also followed the steps where you locate your MCC/MNC in HKEY_CURRENT_USER/System/PHONE/ but my device doesnt have any number it says Not active....
please help me with this issue i am trying to use this phone with my at&t usa carrier. thank you....

I use this version of DXIA5, it has been cut down slightly and is very good on battery life. I have had no problems with this ROM.

ok  last time...CDMA CANNOT BE UNLOCKED ONLY FLASHED....I DONT CARE WHAT YOU READ OR WHERE YOU READ IT.  CANNOT BE DONE.

i really dont think you have a clue on what youre asking....unlocking = putting in a different carriers sim card and entering a subsidary code as enabe the use of the unit on another carrier.   CDMA DOES NOT HAVE THIS ABILITY, THEY DONT USE SIM CARDS...(AND DONT BRING UP THE WORLD PHONES BECAUSE THE PHONE WERE DISCUSSING IS NOT ONE OF THEM).

FLASHINGIS THE ONLY OPTION...FLASHING IS WHERE A DIFFERENT CARRIERS PARAMETERS ARE FLASHED TO THE PHONE...

Hello guys
I used the described method and managed to get this picture

But now it keeps asking PINLOCK..!!!I tried different SIM cards but still same,PINLOCK issue is still same. The other interesting thing I can't do it again since it say entered incorrect MCC/MNC checked registry and no value is available where I got MCC/MNC number very first time except SIMLock Status(0)
Any idea ?

Thanx in advance

If you have been unlucky enough to get an Omnia that is carrier locked, this is the way to unlock it for free!

This has been confirmed now and will be stickied! Please continue to brainstorm ideas for members who are having trouble!

1) Download attached ZIP file
2) Copy all three .lnk files to your Omnia
3) Open a registry editor and go to HKCU\System\State\PHONE, and write down the first 6 digits of IMSI entry (eg 505021 "Optus Australia"
4) Run Lock.ink
5) Enter the 6 digits you wrote down from above in the MCC/MNC section
6) As NCK, enter 12345678
7) Tap OK (it should tell that SIMLock enabled)
Cool Run Status.lnk to see if its locked
9) Run Unlock.lnk
10) Enter code entered in point 6 (12345678)
11) You're Unlocked!

Try this method too...

1. Type *7465625*638*# to set
2. Type the code from the registry as above into the MCC/MNC section
3. Type your new NCK (12345678), then OK
4. Type *#7465625# to check your lock
5. Type #7465625*638*# and type your NCK (12345678)

Would love some real time feedback on this guys...

Hi this phone is not a locked phone in so far as its not a phone that is locked to a network like my new Omnia icon it is locked by the eBay seller as they must have pupt in a lock on the phone when they started it as now when i put in a sim card it goes straight away to enter the unlock code emergency calls only will be allowed. I allows you over 2 minutes to install the code and each time you try the time gets a bit longer. Very odd. So I cant even access the phone at all. I await a reply from someone,

My version:
PDA:DXIA5/DXIA5
PHONE:DXIA2

My Omnia i900 is locked to globe but can use other network's sim cards.

What i did:
I tried the mcc/mcn lock, check status and then unlock with 12345678.
I successfully unlocked it and now the network lock is disabled. I have signals on my locked courier which is globe. Then i had my problem (Read it below).
I tried flashing into another versions like: DXID1, DXHI3 but still having the same problem.

Problem:
Network lock is already disabled and there are signals on my network courier(globe) but when trying to call a number, it says "Cannot complete the call. The signal may be unavailable or the phone number may not be valid.Verify the number or try again later."
As i was also trying to send an sms, it doesn't send the message.
Note: I have full bar of signals.

Hello. Is it with the same SIM as before or a new one? Did you get your operators settings reinstalled on your phone after the flash (I do this by send myself a 'settings' text message from the providers website).

well i can use this sim on another phone. it is the only globe sim that i have. i don't know how to reinstall the operator's settings that you have mentioned. after flashing, i receive a notification to install settings using the Globe network's settings since i have inserted a globe sim on the i900 phone.
