17. Install applications

.cab > transfer to "Storage Card" & install.

.exe & .msi > saved on PC Desktop with activesync, double click exe on the desktop, follow the instructions on your Omnia.

.rar > double click it on PC desktop & extract the cab or exe onto the PC desktop.

Note: I put all .cab files in "Storage Card" as backup even after flash, I can install directly from the "Storage Card".

Omnia is a "PPC", not "Smartphone, not "PDA". Therefore, when downloading files, search for PPC.

21. Get GPS fix faster without the use of XTRA

1. Go to Settings/System/Enhanced GPS > set both settings to "Disable"
2. Go to HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\GPS Intermediate Driver
3. Change the 2 string values to nothing (don't delete them, just clear the value):
    CurrentLogFile (original: \GPSID_log.txt) & OldLogFile (original: \GPSID_log.bak)
4. Soft reset

5. delete the two GPSID_log files in My Device.
If you don't soft-reset, you will not be able to delete some of them.

6. Check again the registry setting. Sometimes in rare cases it may revert
the settings back - but that's a general WM problem.

25. Check your IMEI number

All mobile phones are assigned a unique 15 digit IMEI code upon production.

The IMEI can be displayed on most mobile handsets by dialling *#06#. Otherwise check the compliance plate under the battery.

***If your mobile is lost, inform your Mobile Service provider to "block" your lost phone by providing your IMEI number***
