My phone recently give up and wouldn't turn on, even if I pressed reset, and the red light wouldn't come on when on charge. I try a different battery but didn't help. I sent it back for repair and I received it backon friday. The repair center said they straightened the battery pins, re-solder the lcd and upgraded the software. To my surprise when I received it back all my files were still there, which I thought were deleted when upgrading the software. Any way I had it turned on for about 3 hours then when I went to use it the phone had turned it selve off. I just assumed it was flat and charged it up over night. On Saturday I turned it on and all was sweet but when I went to use it around lunch time it was off again. I turned it back on, knowing it had full charge in the battery, and it fired up as normal. When it got to the main screen the phone automatically loced screen, I unlocked the screen then went to press the keypad button and the screen started to change weird colours and slowly faded to black with a slight tint of the main screen. The phone was unresponsive, even to the on/off button and the reset button so I pulled the battery and started again. Every time I tried it I got the same response only at different times. Sometimes it would make it to the menu screen other times it would just jam up at the welcome screen or the windows 6.1 screen. I pulled the battery and lkeft it out for the rest of the day. On sunday I thought I would try again and the phone seems to be completely dead. The on/off and reset buttons don't do anything. I have tried plugging it into a charger and a pc plug and nothing happens, no red light indicating it is even connected. I have also tried two more batteries from omnias that work and nothing. I have contacted optus and I have to send it back but the issue is I don't want to risk all the files a second time and really need to know if there is a way to retrieve my files from the dead phone. The files are very important to me and my wife as there is alot of photos of our 4th childs first days and footage of his first bath. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

ok so I had a play with the phone and appeared that the battery conectors were slightly bent so I straightened them out a bit and it fires up now. So I plugged my phone in and got all my pics off. I then did a hard reset and all seemed fine. However if I put it in my pant pocket or give it any kind of side ways pressure the phone does what it used to and slowly fades with white and black horizontal lines to nearly black and is unresponsive. If you hit the reset button or on/off it fires up again. However If you give it any kind of twist to the phone, like the pressures of being in a pocket, the phone instanlty gets white and black lines verticaly and fades quickly to black then turns off. The reset and on/off don't work either, you have to remove the battery and put it back in then it will start again. Any help would be great on this issue as if I can fix it I will.
