hi everyone,

im having a little trouble w/ homescreen ++, i installed it, went to settings, today, items and clicked it.. now when i hit ok it says:

"Samsung Widget is not compatible with other today items, so it will be displayed only as Samsung Widget"

and it then unchecked itself,, any one know how to fix this so it works?

If you have samsung's widgets installed, it's the only homescreen you can use!!!

You have to un-check samsung widgets and then check the homescreen ++ you might have to un-check widgets and do a soft reset then turn on today ++.

Samsung widgets is not the only home screen you will be able to use

You just have to uncheck widgets and choose homescreen++ along with anything else you might want. And no, there is no need for a soft reset.

I think Nhialor meant that if you are using widgets, its a standalone, you can't have other Today items activated at that time too.

hi guys,

so the main reason i wanted home screen to work is beacuse i want apps to close completely when i press the "X".

so i did what you guys advised and unchecked widgets and check home screen...
now anyone know how i start the actual homescreen program.

i did try tapping the today screen and nothing happened.

the today screen won't make the programs close by hitting "X" Is there any way to post a screenshot of what your phone looks like now? All you should have to do is enable home 2 or whatever its called and it should then be your home screen

if you want to use your homescreen++ and make your programs close when you press X, you have to activate HomeScreen++, then press and hold the battery bar.

This will pop up a menu, choose options. Then look for a task manager there. Click on it and you can choose to tick to either press or press and hold to close your programs.

Hope it's what you're looking for.
