Are you talking about the keyboard for typing your text? There's a small icon located on the bottom toolbar when opening  Notes. Click on the small arrow and choose your keyboard from that menu.  Settings>Personal>Input will allow you to choose the default keyboard.

The keyboard i do have is tiny and can only be used with the stylus... should i not have a keyboard like in link below?  I was hoping i could download from somewhere

parsjh,

Is it a used phone? Omnia should have 7 or 8 keyboard styles listed in sip menu with 4 being Samsung brand. If it's used maybe original owner turned them off. In that case look here #23 http://www.samsung-omnia.org/how-to/howwhatwherewhichwhywhen/15/ and do the opposite to turn them back on. You will need registry editor like PHM to do this. Or hard reset phone like shadow suggested.

Hope this helps

hi, thanks for your help so far but I still have had no luck.  this is a new phone, was delivered in a sealed box.

I tried the hard reset and this did not work.  I then installed a registry editor and followed DD's instructions but the samsung keypad was not listed.  they 5 keyboard styles i listed above i can see and can turn these on and off so i know I'm doing the right thing.

Any other suggestions?

I have version i908ZHHH2 if this helps.  Is there a newer version?

Does this phone have two sim card slots? What is the branding on the front of the phone? How much did you pay for the phone? Are you sure it's a Samsung? Samsung does make a I908 but there are also copies too. You saying that there are no Samsung SIP's on your phone doesn't sound right.

Which one of these do you have?

There is only 1 sim slot on my phone.  I have the second one above, I'm sure it's not a copy (better not be anyway!)

I do have the Samsung panel just not the keypad.  I take it there is nowhere I can get it if not on the phone already?

Do you know of any other keyboards that I can download?  I like everything else about this phone but hate not having a decent keypad for sms
