Did you copy both the sdkcerts and the taskbar cab files to your phone.  Best to copy it to you card then run them from there.

Also, did you remove any other taskbars that you have installed?

ok i have been having a problem with every custom taskbar i have tried. I'm looking for one with a battery icon in green showing the percentage over it like this pic....

But i'm also looking for something where the other icons look more metalic or like carbon fiber but can still be seen on a black taskbar. I'm Running a MrCapcom 6.5 Custom Rom and his tasbar is nice but i want something amazing.

Ok i digress, now when i install any custom taskbar from tsowen with the battery icon i want i cant see the percentage b/c it is off the screen. Now someone over at PPCGeeks.com told me it was b/c of our wqvga screen and to try the .cab attached below. now my problem is does anyone know if this will really fix the problem? The person who recommended it hasnt gotten back to my question and its been over a week, and i just have more faith in the ppl from this site than anyother.

I don't see how that cab will help.  All it does is install a battery.dll which as far as I know does not exist on the Omnia.  The cab even says it is for "Q-Mobile TP2 Battery Update Verizon USA".  It also installs some certificates for trust.

If you post the taskbar you are trying I can take a look at it and see if it should work on a cooked WM6.5

I am getting real confused on what you are looking for.

In your first post your asking about the taskbar which you received instructions for and in fact should have worked f you used the V2 cab.

In your second post you see the problem is that you don't have a licensed copy of MS 3.5 which has nothing to do with the taskbar. Yes, it will expire after 15 days and if you like it you get to pay for it.  Search for MS 3.5 coupons and you can find discounts for it but not FREE.

And in your last post you mentioned the weather icon in the taskbar.  I am not aware of any that would work on WM6.1 but I have not looked either.  The weather however could be answered by MS 3.5 since a weather widget is part of that and you will have a weather icon on your main screen.

So, clarify what you are actually trying to achieve and maybe we can help.

If you are talking about in MS then you need to select a city in the settings when on the weather panel.  If you have selected a city and still not getting anything then try another larger city nearby and see if that works.

ddaniels72          I installed those two files and they work great! They seem to have changed some of the icons on my 'settings ' screen. Is that possible? They look fantastic! I'm so so happy. I have an I900 MSHJ1 original ROM 6.1. thank you and Nils. The only thing I wasn't happy with on my phone is the icons. I'd love to change the Today screen icons too but I don't want to change the ROM. Do you know of any way to do that?

The Genius is all Nils. As far as changing the icons on you today screen the easiest way is a shell. ( SPB, M2D, Etc..) Which one is up to you.

Ok Nils The taskbar i'm trying to get is the one posted below which in the instructions at PPCGeeks (first post of the included link)  i'm told to also install the other .cab that i have also posted below. But everytime i do it the percentage that is over the battery icon is unreadable, and the green battery icon as shown in the picture is instead yellow. Any help would be great b/c i really have just about given up.
