LGDP,

I'm infatuated with the look of your omnia.

Anyway you can go through on how to set it up looking like that?

I especially like the look of the dock/icons

My personal experience with iFonz and other iPhone emulators has been pretty bad.
The iPhone touchscreen UI just cannot be matched.
After trying out many interfaces on the Omnia, IMHO, Spb Mobile Shell from www.spbsoftwarehouse.com with Spb Mobile Shell skins from http://www.changeskin.net turn out to be the best.

With the Spb Mobile Shell and Skins, you can have an Omnia which can beat the best of the best in terms of look and feel, customization, speed and ease of use.

I use Omnia, N95, iPhone 3G and various HTCs. Each of them have their pros and cons but certainly, the Omnia comes closest to being the perfect mobile phone as of date.

Samsung needs to get their act together on the firmware upgrade process for what they claim to be an iPhone killer as both Apple an Nokia will kill the Omnia on that front.

That's probably because you haven't spent time customizing and getting the most out of Ifonz... I used to hate it and would prefer TouchFlo or SPB but now it is my only shell and am very happy with it...

SPB and TouchFlo already have everything made for you which is probably why you find it better.

Personally I had a few issues with SPB which made me remove it...

Sure, customization makes a lot of difference. From a different perspective, none of the shells can do much about the native Win Mo apps which continue to require a microscope. The crux of the issue lies in the application being finger friendly.

Im loving IFonz at the moment and am learning with my Omnia everyday!  At first I didnt rate it very much, but through persistent playing around (and numerous tweaks to registry and others) it now works like a charm.  It certainly annoys my Iphone friends when I show them that not only can my phone essentially copy theirs, it can do a myriad of other things aswell  Grin

A couple of questions though, that I hope someone can help me with.

As IFonz doesnt install via cab anymore, I have to click the application everytime I want it to run.  As there it can quite often minimise or shut down, I want to change the shortcut key on the top right of my omnia (up by the power switch) so that it runs IFonz.  However I cant seem to do this.  Do I need to create a .lnk from the IFonz app and then put that somewhere specific?

Also, how can I create a shortcut to take me straight to Youtube?

Many thanks in advance!

I'm really starting to like iFonz too.  But I can't seem to get rid of the "No Service" on the top bar.  Does anyone know how to get rid of it so it show's my current provider?

Yes you need to create a shortcut to ifonz.exe in the \windows\start menu\programs folder

Can someone help me out.  I really love iFonz.  I've tried SPB Shell +skins and Manila 2D.  I think iFonz runs the smoothest if you set it up right.  Anyway, I can't seem to get rid of that "NO SERVICE" at the top bar.
I am currently running version 1.1.2-QVGA.  Any help would be much appreciated.

thanks...

Initially when I first installed iFonz, I hated it for the same reasons.  It was ugly and slow, but after optimizing WM using SKTools and customizing iFonz icons, I really like it now.  I've tried SPB Mobile Shell +skins and Manila 2D.  I personally thing iFonz is more stable, easier to configure, and uses less memory.  I just wish there was more support for transparent icons.

I tried to install ifonz but I get an error message "The application you are trying to install requires a newer vesion of the .NET compact framework". I have installed the newest version but I still get this error message. Quite frustrating I must say. Can anyone help me?
