I can confirm that this definitely doesn't work on the i900.  How do I get i910 software?  Or is that another problem altogether?

How do I get Resco Explorer for free? They want 30 bucks for it. Which version is free to download? Or, better yet, which version of Regedit is free?

slampig..

got the registry editor, and changed the setting for the ring tones. Will see tomorrow if it works or not.

However, mine is not HKCU, my registry has HKEY

plus, this version of regedit is a cost item. I have 20 days left.

So, do you know how now I can get rid of windows live and that shozo or whatever it is? Wink

I did look at the subject.  Have you looked at my number of posts?  Just because I'm new doesn't mean you have to speak to me like I'm stupid.  Also, if you look at my post I was asking if there was any way I could get i910 software, does that also not suggest I did read the subject?

1. Dude I'm demanding you to modify the post since knowing wizard for a long time i know he didn't meant anything bad for you. Just asked and you don't have to suddenly be aggressive. It doesn't matter if you are new or old here. Please watch on your attitude and don't start a fight for no reason. If you don't like it just don't read it. We want to keep this place cool and without fights and bashing.

2. i910 and i900 are completely different phones with different hardware:
 i910 is CDMA, Dont have front camera, Doesn't support 3G and has blocked GPS
 i900 is GSM/3G Have a front camera it's everything is unlocked and so on.
 i910 is specially made for American career Verzion thus it's strongly connected to that career.
 Conclussion. i910 software can't be flashed to an i900 phone it will make the phone unusable.

I am also an i900 user and I am suffering from this and reading the thread everyday to see if someone finds a solution, probably SAMSUNG will realize this stupid features and will make it optionally in the newer roms.

Keep your positive attitude, and stay cool.

Thank you for clarifying the i900 - i910 query, and I'm sorry to hear you're having the same trouble.  Hopefully Samsung will issue a fix soon.

Regarding the other things you mentioned, I sincerely apologise to the Wizard, and as one of his friends, yourself, for any upset I caused in my post.  You should know I never meant for it to come out aggressive (I'm not like that, never have been) and certainly didn't want to start a fight.  I was just trying to defend myself.  I have just read my post back and it does sound rather snotty so again I'm sorry and I officially retract what I put there.  If you look at my other posts, you'll see that they are far from being of that nature.

This is a great forum, and it's got me through many a tedious night shift with my sanity intact, so I would have no reason to be aggressive or anything of the like.  Thank you for all the continued hard work putting it together.

Ok, I used my registry editor to make the changes. However, I do know this thread is for the i910 verizon, but the same settings in the registry is the same as the i900 Omnia. So, I made the changes for the ring tone the same way as the instructions listed.

It may work for some on the i910, but I couldn't get it to work on the i900.  Sad

I understand that, but since the registry keys are the same:

HKEY\control panel\sound catagories\ring\attenuation catagory\

change value to 1...

that is the same on the i900, it should work don't you think? Just asking.

No it shouldn't mabyee in our roms that value is omited and hard coded rather than queried from the registries.  Just because that key is there doesn't mean that is in use by the system i can create 100000 of registry keys but they wouldn't have anything to do with the system since the systme dont know how to use it Cheesy    Give up that key isn't the solution.   I had to many sleepless nights hoping that i was typing wrong numbers in that key Cheesy And that i forgot to softreset Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy   I do like to see this fixed but It's time to go back to reality.

True.

Can you lead/direct me to the proper thread so that I can:

* do the ani_poweron and the ani_poweroff

* delete Windows Live?

You see, I have to much eating my memory and sp3 stuff which I have them all, won't leave me enough memory to use the camera.

I have 80+ mb running memory from just what was preinstalled.

I can't even use my TSO (trans siberian orchestra) Wizard in Winter ringtone. Well, I might could, but I am trying to find what all is eating my memory, then I can reinstall it if I have enough room... lol.

I am still so very green at this stuff, so please be kind.
