In the home screen at the bottom centre position gently rub  display towards upside, it will launch task manager/switcher.

i hope anyone knew this before  ;)
not only in home screen, every where!!

Only problem is I still can't remove the dead icon from the settings\system folder (auipga: its not the programs folder). Its probably a key somewhere in the registry, I suppose. Like Blossom, my install/unistall attemps did not go very well: twice, with only the taskmanager ticked, it installed touch control. On 3rd attemp it only installed the task manager, but the touch control icon was left behind.

in that case, try Clear Temp. works for me.

I have tried rubbing the screen from the bottom center, nothing happens. I have an Omnia from Vodafone and the task switcher does not appear in the program menu, nor google maps or google launcher. How can I configure the phone so that the task switcher appears. Tried to do a shortcut in Program, it shows in the File Explorer, but not on the program screen.

EDIT 1: I FOUND THE TASK MANAGER, is under the windows folder with the name "Gestor de Tareas", but is not configured to be used with the finger, do you know how to configure this?

in english and german roms (those i tested) it is not configurable.

There must be some registry tweak to enable the finger gesture, i'm pretty sure, like with the silver inbox, please can someone witht he finger gesture enabled task manager investigate this?.

By holding the main omnia menu key in (on the side of the phone above volume keys) will open the task manager:)

i reassigned the buttons using other features (see settings, personal, buttons)
