I accept NO responsibility for any damage caused to your handset before, during and after updating it with these ROMs. Using custom ROMs has risks attached to it, and can be dangerous. Proceed with caution.

THE UPDATER IS DESIGNED FOR USE ON XP MACHINES ONLY< VISTA IS NOT SUPPORTED UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO

Please do not ask me to add anything or to explain why stuff is not there. These ROMs change all the time due to many factors. My ROMs generally have the same apps in them so you know what to expect. RESPECT TO SECTOR AS ALWAYS.

UPDATE: 17/05/09

Due to time not being infinate, i no longer have time to make ROMs. So the ROMs that are available, are the last ones i will make.

I may make a final WM6.5 when we have official FINAL release, but til then, NOTHING new from the shokka9. Sorry guys.

So this is my last WM6.5 build for a while.

Just like to say that you guys have been great and everyone involved in Omnia is cool. I not disappearing so i will still be active in the forums. Helping out etc.

BIG THANKS TO SECTOR, QBUS, SZTUPY, PASSOA, SECANY, KHUANCHAI, WIZARD & ANYONE ELSE WHO HELPED ME OUT.

The TRUTH is out there, its Omnia Smiley

UPDATED: 02/05/09 - PLEASE READ
New FIRMWARE; DXID1; Phone part also, so it will update your Phone part now.

Removed Total Commander, install if you like it. Giving the freedom to install Resco or similar.

Rotation Service is best for advanced users, as it can cause a few issues, but it is worth using if you know how.

Added SSMaHo to this post, not cooked, again, for advanced users. So install as the link says, it works very well and is easy to use and set up than the older SSMaPa. Please use the link provided for help.

i900DXID1 SHKv7 21215. M2D & Titanium Updated 03/05/09

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=MNXX0DVK

Download Instructions & Installation for all my WM6.5 ROMs (PLEASE READ)

1> Download all parts of the ROM. Extract part 1 only, it will extract the other parts.
When it has extracted the ROM, install as usual.
2> When you get the ROBOT/WM6.5 screen wait for it to reboot. When it reboots it will default to Windows default home today screen. (after configuring the Omnia - obviously!!)
3> Now HARD RESET DEVICE.....
4> Repeat step 2 then move to step 5.
5> To get your MMS & Internet settings; goto Settings, Connections, Operator; select different operator to yours (any). Wait 25 secs, then goto connection settings, operator settings and select your proper operator. Your net, MMS, SMS settings will now be active. PLEASE READ: THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!!
6> CALIBRATE SCREEN TO ENSURE GOOD CALIBRATION. Settings, system, screen, CALIBRATE SCEEN.
7> To set up an all black theme, change in Settings\system\today\Windows Mobile Black.
8> To get the honeycomb menu as in the pics, disable the Large menu in Settings\system\large display
9> Install Google YouTube, download attached cab and install to device memory.
10> Soft Reset after this....or after some other tweaking

To install my M2D theme download this http://www.mediafire.com/?qhju2mynymd if you are using LITE ROM

** If you dont already have a 'My Ringtones' folder setup for your tones, please do this before (or after) flashing the Omnia. I remove all standard tones, so when you set up your notifications, there will be nothing to select and this may cause u a problem. Do this....

Set up a folder IN THE ROOT on either your 'my storage' or 'storage card' (memory card) called 'My Ringtones'. Sorry for the basics...just making sure tho.

Put all your ringtones, sounds etc in there. Every time u flash Omnia, it will use those folders (and the one in the device (which will be empty) **

Installed 21193 no problems, apart from garmin not installing,

Now installed 21198, Garmin XT works fine.

Port Splitter works.

But there are no ringtones and similar problem to older roms when u add them they do not appear. It also will not let you leave phone settings screen because there is no ringtone selected, unless u press hang up.
Am i doing something wrong, sorry?

Thanks

you are new to this Wink

set up a folder on either your 'my storage' or 'storage card' (memory card) called 'My Ringtones'. Sorry for the basics bro...just making sure tho.

Put all your ringtones, sounds etc in there. Every time u flash Omnia, it will use those folders (and the one in the device (which will be empty), there should be one in there called classic bell (i sure i leave one in for this situation?  :Smiley)

After this, no problems...especially if you have storage card, i have everything i need on mine (EVERYTHING Wink)

Enjoy, some of the connectivity issues been resolved in 21198. Some things better on 21193, not much we can do really.

Enjoy

If any user wants their own custom ROM, i am more than happy to do this, as long as you understand that time is precious.

PM me if u are seriously interested (not u Omnian Wink)

Donation basis only, as i am going out of my way, and to repeat myself, time is precious.

Thanks tho guys, good to make ROM for individual...

PS: i will obviously try to assist with anything that u may encounter, but there are lots of places to look for information. I dont use every app, and thoroughly use them. The ones i cook (G-Alarm etc) are what i use daily so thats why they are in there. Removals and stuff kept is fine balance as i am cooking for anyone.

If you have specific stuff u use or dont use, its easier for me.

Glad to be of service...Enjoy ur life! Wink

When making ROMs everthing on it takes up space.

We cannot make them bigger  Sad, we can only change what is on there and how much it consumes  Wink.

It like this, the bigger the program the more space it takes. This is both ways, removing and adding.

M2D takes quite a bit of space around 13-15mb on my ROM, my M2D is quite large so to speak. With a smaller skin and some removals it can be made smaller in size. But u only gonna install skins anyway, so why not have a reliable one Wink.

 Cool

........YouTube appears on internet tab, see below. All programs still does the same (works once). This is quick fix for you guys, so not much done to it really.

4>to remove YouTube text on internet tab do this in Commander:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\MANILLA2D\INTERNETWIDGET\CUSTOMISED\NoDescription
change to 0 (from 1) and soft reset, after about 25 secs.

On i900DXIA5_IA2_SHKv2 21198 with M2D & M2DC Updated 29/03/09 version, YouTube also appears on internet tab. Huh?
I've installed your YouTube.cab, but tapping on the YouTube icon on internet tab still cannot start YouTube.

Is there a way to link this icon to start YouTube? Undecided

hi shoka, do u have this theme for omnia???

Hi monyozt,

You can get this M2D, Xtreme Clock, from MoDaCo.
I know that the clock, history and calender are too high, but please read further down the thread, sector had revised the HomeHTCSettings.xml, just replace the one in the zip and it'll look like mine. Cheesy

You can change the background to anything you like. Just replace and zip it back.

Chef Shokka,

Any updates on the BETA ROMs. I mean, when will the FINAL ROM (non-BETA) be released?

Are you using the SHKv2 now?

'Coz i been opting to flash to SHKv2 and start re-installing all my apps again.

But am a little apprehensive that the FINAL RELEASE will be out sooner than i think and i might just end up flashing anew....

CHEERS man.

BTW, that screen looks awesome.... is that already Win6.5?

It needs to be installed to the device....It works on mine...fine no issues. Install to device and tap the youtube on internet and it starts straight away, no soft reset.

Are you using the SHKv2 now?

BTW, that screen looks awesome.... is that already Win6.5?

BETA, they will always be BETA until WM6.5 is officially released for all, or when WM7 is also released. These files are test files, if you google the builds, there are video clips of Microsoft boffins testing the builds.

WM7 may be around the corner too? There will probably NEVER be a FINAL release.

It depends what ROM u on at the mo. I am using SHKv2 M2D, works no probs for me. I run CorePlayer and PhoneEx in addition to the cooked stuff. No issues for me.

All i can say is flash away, look at using a backup software to reinsatll al your stuff back after flashing. I dont bother as i dont install that much!

Good luck.
