For my dissertation my Project Supervisor handed me the topic of developing a Fall Detection System using a Smartphone (He recommended the Omnia 2) which was previously done by 2 seniors, the difference being that they used an external wrist mounted accelerometer whereas I'll be using the built in accelerometer.

I posted over at the MSDN forums regarding my problem but they mentioned that the emulators in Windows Mobile 6.0 SDK do not support emulation of the accelerometer, which is problematic for me. Whist my project supervisor says that he'll buy the device for me, he wants to first see something tangible on my part, eg. a working application on the emulator before he's willing to make the purchase.

To all the experience developers here, is there a way to simulate the accelerometer function in the emulator. I vaguely remember seeing a video of a demonstration of someones project which was using an emulator that had a separate window for simulating the angle, pitch and rotation of the device.

Also any other advice for me, I'm still quite lost here and I would appreciate if I could get some guidance to point me at the right direction.
