I'm having a problem with gps on my omnia II.
First it not identified as having a built-in GPS device. I resolved that with a hard reset, in which it began to identify and find the GPS satellites. Now it searches for satellites, but not find any. I have made looking for more than 30 min in the open and clear skies.
The ports are configured to com4 the program and hardware 9, 9600.
Anybody know how to solve?

Try these settings:

Go to setting --> General Setting --> GPS --> Connection
GPS program port: com7
GPS hardware port:com9
Baud rate: 4800

Click on done.

Go to XTRA
Enable XTRA Server
Tick "ZWhen connected to PC via ActiveSync
Enable SNTP Server (Only when you have data plan)
Click done.

Let us know if you can now detect your GPS. For the first time, it may take around 5 - 10 mins to lock in your position

Hi

Hmm... I seem to have a problem where I can't find the XTRA server setting.

I'm running SPB Shell 3.5 if that is hiding it?

Is there another registry change that I need to have the XTRA server option unhidden?

Cheers
