Although the Omnia II will launch with Windows Mobile 6.1, it will be upgradeable to Windows Mobile 6.5 when the new OS comes out this fall, Samsung execs said. Verizon Wireless hasn't announced a launch date or price for the Omnia II.

Yea that would be a good excuse maybe to get the omnia II lol. So when the 6.5 come out do you have to go up to verizon to get it installed. If I do get the omnia II for my November upgrade when I buy it directly from the VZ store will they upgrade it for me there?. But I am concerned If it's upgradeable to Wm 7 and will the 16m colors be there..hopefully 6.5 won't keep the colors restricted I want 16m colors. How come the pro have 16m colors and it has wm 6.1 to?!

well I hope the omnia II is upgradeable to wm7 I am not really interested in wm6.5 that much but I like the zune interface. According to wikipedia a beta version of wm7 will be release of November 2009 and the actual thing will be released June 1,2010. The screenshots of wm7 on google looks cool, it like has some of the wm6.5 stuff along with the zune.

Anyone want to purchase a unlocked European, T-Mobile branded Omnia i900? I'll swap for an Android 2.1 (as long as it can be upgraded in some way) phone.

Let me put it this way... There isn't anything stopping me editing the Omnia II wiki page to say it features HD video capture, will ship with a Tegra chip and feature WM 7 in Sept 09. I guarantee you people will take that as the truth.

Well I just noted it I didn't say believe it. Sometimes wikipedia is right and sometimes there not, but I just put it incase it was true.. I mean they was right on the beta release of wm6.5 so this might be true to

I think the phone is going to have 65K colors. The phone supports 16M but winmo supports only 65K. That's what i have been reading online. Also reviewers have been saying the same thing.
