Spb Mobile Shell 3.5 has been released and available from the product page:

http://spbsoftwarehouse.com/pocketpc-software/mobileshell/

Just installed it and it definitely looks and feels different.  So far I like it.

they've added:

 - 3D view (when in carousel, you can see items on the back of the carousel)
 - New interface for mail/sms/mms

Does it cost anything to upgrade from 3.0?

They don't seem to let you upgrade from 3 to 3.5 only 2 to 3.5. If they don't fix this then I'm going to wait until someone posts a serial on the web and then they will get $0 . I'm not paying another $30 after I paid it a few months ago for v3.

My key from 3.0 worked on 3.5.  They only charge to go full releases like 2 > 3

I actually just removed 3.0.1 and installed 3.5 and it picked up the registration automatically.  About shows it as registered.

Confirmed on upgrading from 3.0 to 3.5 at no charge. Here is the reply to an email I sent asking about just that: just download the latest version from our website and install it over the existing version:
http://www.spbsoftware.com/pocketpc-software/mobileshell/download.html

You do not need to register it again.

Feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions. You can always refer to this ticket using this link: http://support.softspb.com/default.asp?123184_nj7mr3d0

I upgraded at no cost, and didn't have to register again. Just use the trial link instead of the upgrade link. Its got some spiffy new widgets and the weather one finally shows the current temp instead of the predicted forecast. The only thing I didn't like is that it converted all my widgets to just icons instead of icons with text, but they made it simple to change (just hold down the widget and change skin). All in all its a nice upgrade but nothing major.
