This is clipped from my post in the PDAPhoneHome forum.  99% of these programs have been tested on my Omnia and work perfectly, I figured I would throw them up here for you guys.

Here's some apps for you guys to look over.  Mostly everything here is for a Saga and Omnia, but theres some stuff that's Omnia only.  Use at your own risk.  I will be updating it with even more stuff.

***UPDATE*** - I now have an i910 Omnia.  My girlfriend still uses my Saga and i'm currently in the process of deciding between the two of them.  Some of the newly added files are for the Omnia, but pretty much everything here is based at you Saga or Omnia users.  I will be posting this thread on other boards.

Short descriptions:

Advanced configuration tool: quite a few tweaks for the saga that work, the performance ones make a huge difference (I've messed with it extensively and if you set everything to "advised" it speeds the saga up quite a bit).  Also quite a few other useful tweaks.

CallerID: "CallerID that looks up numbers in a national database as they call you."

Cleartemp: A program by vicsoft that's freeware that clears up cache and temp internet files.

Coreplayer: A windows media player replacement, works quite well.

Defragment Defragments storage cards.  Never tried it.

Dinarsoft memmaid: Not free, but another memory utility, I like the fact that you can schedule it to clear everything and do a soft boot at night while you are sleeping.

emoe2_pcc cab: Emoze, free push email program.  Works great and doesn't seem to put a hurting on the battery too much.

Facebook: a cab file ripped from WM 6.5 from PPCgeeks forum, works great.

fim.moski.mobi: Unofficial freeware facebook app.  Works well.  Has chat and the official one does not.

Freecell: A card game like solitaire

Fring: The best free instant messaging program (imho)

Ftouchflo: Touch flo from HTC in a cab.  Beware: kind of a pain to get off to phone if you decide you don't want it.  It's for scrolling, etc with your finger.  Google touchflo htc.

Googlemaps: Google maps in a program

Iconsoft Phone Extension "The Iconsoft Phone Extension or PhonEx is a new generation program implementing a new type of user interface for managing the main functions of a telephone, built on the basis of the Iconsoft Mobile Engine. PhonEx opens up new possibilities for easy interaction using simple touch, without the stylus, while retaining all the capabilities of a Windows Mobile palmtop computer."

iContact: Touch friendly contact app.  I don't like it but it was hosted out of courtesy, works well but has a few drawbacks.

ICSControl Free wifi tethering.  Click here

ICSinstall: Internet connection sharing.  You can tether via usb or bluetooth for free.  I have PDANet as well and this is faster and free.

Irisbrower: Another internet explorer replacement to try.  I don't like it but once again it's here for you to try.

Keyswop: Another free vicsoft program for programming the two soft keys at the bottom of the screen without editing your registry.

Livesearch: Windows live search, maps, locations, gas prices, movies, restaraunts, etc.  This will be more useful when GPS is unlocked but it's still cool.

Marshall dialpad skins: Diff skins for the "phone dialer".  Pretty cool but I would research this before you download.

MWC2.2: Another marshalls program designed to replace the wait icon cursor to different ones.  Pretty cool.

Magicall: Not free.  Blocks or blacklists SMS or phone calls from certain numbers or numbers that start with specific numbers.

Metrix Simple free today screen plugin.

Mortscript Simple macro and programming language for WM.

MusicID: "modified" version of cingulars music id, a song recognition software.  Was linked at xga-dev, works great and doesn't require you to register.

netcfg: A program to configure specific applications and the entires WM OS for specific .net's, you should download 3.5 immediately and do the reg hack as well as use this program to set all programs to 3.5.  Google is your friend.  Either way, if a program ONLY works in 2.0 this program will allow you to set it up that way.

NETCFv3.5: Microsoft .NET 3.5

Palringo: Another great free IM program

Pandora: Free internet radio, customizable, I love it.

PDC: Pocket digital clock; "excellent replacement for the standard clock. Customizeable fonts and sizes."

Pocket forecast: Don't remember, I know I uninstalled it, I believe it works good but is kinda slow..it's also not free IIRC.

Pocket Lemmings:  PPC version of the classic from the early 90's (game)

Pocket Mechanic "The leading Windows Mobile maintenance utility and Pocket PC Magazine Best Software Awards Finalist - Pocket Mechanic Professional will keep your device in perfect shape with a robust arsenal of powerful maintenance tools."

Pockettwit:  PPC Twitter application

Pointui home: A today screen replacement like SPB Mobile shell.  Didn't care for it but it's got TONS of potential, give it a try.

putty: PocketPutTTy

RealVGA: Highly recommended, sets your screen to true 320x320 @ 96dpi instead of 240x240.  If you have bad eyesight I wouldnt try it.

Resco Keyboard Replacement for the on screen keyboard.  This is for Omnia.  WQVGA skins available.

Respack96dpi: This is needed to get realvga to work on the Saga.  Install this cab and then RealVGA.  Soft-boot.  Open realvga and set it to 96dpi, soft boot again.  Done.

S2U2: Slide to unlock, iphone style.  Also has a cool volume control skin and shows caller ID full screen and a few other cool tricks.  Freeware.  Yes, I realize this isn't the latest version.  It's the best version I have found that plays nice with the Saga AND Mobile shell.

SDKcerts.cab: If you don't have this, you should.  Required for some software listed on this page.  Download it. (including RealVGA)

SiriusWM5: Sirius satellite radio

Setup.exe A PC based installer for SK Tools Standard

SKtools: Freeware (lite) and standard versions of the best and most popular maintenance kit.  Clean, repair, optimize, remove programs.

Skyfire: A great internet explorer replacement.  I still mainly use opera but there is quite a few things Skyfire does that opera doesn't.  It works quite well but still has a few bugs.

Skype: Skype for mobile phone (I have NOT tested this cab)

SPB Pocket Plus: Great piece of spb software.  Allows you to close apps with the X instead of minimizing.  Does quite a few other good tricks.  Highly recommended

SPB Mobile Shell: The best today screen replacement out there.  I love it.  Not free though!

Spritebackup:  The best backup software (imho) for the simple reason you can backup a saga and put it onto a omnia.  You cannot do this with Spb.

tcmdpocketarm: Total commander.  Best file explorer and registry editor out there (imho) and it's free.

TouchResponse Program to improve the touch screen reponsiveness.  Works on Saga and Omnia.  Highly recommended!

UITweaker: Allows you to change all the system colors as well as the theme colors.  Works alright, most of the colors dont display right until you do a soft reboot.  Has a few bugs.  It's the combination of 4 freeware color/theme apps.

Vncviewer .NET VNC Viewer

WalkingHotSpot: An app you have to pay for so your PPC can be an ad-hoc wireless network for other devices to connect to to use your EV-DO connection.  Works better than WMWifiRouter when it actually works.  I'm still waiting for them to officially support the Saga.

WebTV: TV on your phone.  (details at xda-dev)

Windows Live NO IM: This is windows live (hotmail on your phone, etc) without the MSN messenger.  The cab with MSN messenger is available too.  PM Me

Winterface "Winterface is the Next Generation Shell for Windows Mobile comprising the options of a launcher, a task manager, and multitude of Today plug-ins. Winterface virtually replaces default interface of touch screen Windows Mobile devices and gives the user unprecedented freedom to easily lay out interface exactly the way they like it. "

WM5Torage: Use your phone as a flash drive

WMWifiRouter: Another ad-hoc wifi router program.  Same as WalkingHotSpot, only works when it wants too.

XCPUScalar Overclock and change the speeds of your phones processor.  Autoscale function works great.  WARNING: THIS ONLY WORKS ON OMNIA, NOT SAGA, DO NOT INSTALL IT ON A SAGA.  I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT THIS DOES TO YOUR PHONE.  FUNCTIONS PERFECTLY ON MY 910 OMNIA

Youtube: Youtube's new WM application for viewing streaming video from youtube.com

Disclaimer: I am in no way responsible for what any of these apps may do to your phone.  I have had NO problems with any of these programs except the dialpad skin app, which I managed to get working.  As always, do a full backup before trying these, even though they worked for me.  This is also a good resource for PPC apps IPMart Forum

****On a side note, has anyone got a .rar program to work on the saga? And don't mention winrar's pocketrar 3.80, it doesn't work.  Can't get it to work on my omnia or q9m either.
