Maybe a stupid question, but what exactly does this app do?
I know its needed for other apps to run, but does this actually make the ppc run better?
There are reports that it makes the ppc run faster but can't prove, no harm installing.

few questions.

will this disable any functions of the phone? i no flash lite 3.1 disables the widgets, does .net framework compact disable anything?

also, do i have to run this manually each time the phone starts to run the g ames or will it run automatically.

will it run beside 2.0 and if so is there an option to remove 2.0?

If 32 Mb is just to much to download, here's the cab file

This basically is the same installation as the 32mb one, so install this and get the same result.
i got error message when installing this app Sad

alright so i have tried many times to install this lovely cab fix.... but to no avail i cant get it to work.
my issue however has been that i cant get my computer to do the whole "look at your omnia" bit. it always just installs on my pc or lappy.
both platforms are using XP and the newest version of active sync.
i have done the process like this.
1) download said program
2) connect lovely omnia to computer bringing up active sync.
3) install .NET 3.5
4) Fail.
help?

oh btw im new. and i want to thank you wizard and a few other people which i cant remember the handles. you guys have made this time with my phone a lot of funnnn

Which step did you fail? What is the file size that you downloaded? File name?

1. Connect Omnia to PC using the data cable on Activesync.

2. Download file onto PC from link here >>>
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e3821449-3c6b-42f1-9fd9-0041345b3385&displaylang=en

File name - NETCFSetupv35.msi
File size - 33.3mb
Select your download speed from drop-down box

3. Double click on the downloaded file

4. Follow instructions on your PC screen

5. Continue installation on your Omnia screen

6. Exit Activesync

7. Detach data cable from Omnia & PC

ahh you might want to add in the instructions to follow the complete install, and not do try the custom. at least that sees to be where things went wrong
but i swear i did the same exact thing before and it didn't work. oh well. i shall prance around a happier man! thank you kind sir!

"Follow instructions on your PC screen"
like i said i tried it once before and it failed. so the fact that it worked this time was very nice.

You can try the cab but sometimes does not work for someone.
