ok it said download mode failed and told me to restart. The phone was locked up and  i restarted all seems to work fine at the moment

ok so i have the new rom and everything is working except the GPS that was the whole reason i put this on my phone! I downloaded a toggle GPS program and still nothing and i have the settings mentioned earlier set in google maps but still nothing. Well it says seeking gps satellies with a bunch of numbers but thats it. Anyone have a program that it is working in?

I would love to use live search

I've only tried google maps.  Did you set the gps to 'location on' instead of '911 Emergency Only' ?

Settings -> Phone -> Services -> GPS -> Change Setting -> Location On -> OK

Then do a soft reset and try again in google maps.

been tryin since this afternoon. I got a lock once within 100 meters. Is this normal? Haven't been able to get it to work since... Guess ill just have to wait for the official release

make sure its a usb2.0 port.. usb1/1.1 ports have been known to brick the phone

I just used google maps on my way into work.. took about 30-45 seconds to get a lock (which is better than the Magellan on my windshield) and had a 20m lock the whole way here..  I also got the GPS to work with gWatch, granted I have no use for it.  It's the only other software I have atm that works with GPS.  I also have read that once you use this ROM VZNav doesn't work anymore, which isn't a problem for me.. I wanted this update so I don't have to use VZNav in the first place Smiley
