So I really want to use the wmwifirouter application, but it has not worked at all for me.
After doing some research, I think I figured out what the problem is.  It needs the Internet Connection sharing that is supposed to come as a standard setting in windows mobile.

The thing is, is it's not on my phone.  After looking around, I saw that it was a hit or miss thing for windows mobile 6.  Some people had it and some people didn't (on all windows mobile 6 phones, not just the omnia).  I could not find a solution to fix it if you didn't have it though.

Any suggestions?

come on, there has got to be a way to fix this on the omnia.  found plenty of links to a supposed fix for the blackjack II and was supposed to work for other windows mobile 6 phones, but one of the 3 programs that were needed would not install on the omnia.

Are you on a custom ROM? If so that is maybe why it is missing. Also make sure you are checking under programs and not in settings (spent a whole day in a Internet Cafe because I did not check under programs)

it doesn't make your wifi disappear in the wireless manager? or does your phone lock up all the time or does your data connection lose connection and is unable to connect again until a soft reset? these are all the problems i was having. I had to give up on trying to use this program

I'm using the standard ROM and all is fine. I'm using the lastest version of wifirouter 1.5.  Works great.

well, again, i said im using the standard leaked rom.

and after installing that ics program, worked fine at first, then it wouldn't let me turn on my wifi at all.  It would say off, and i click on and it wouldn't do anything. tried everything and nothing could help. i soft reset, turned all the way off, and took out the battery, and i still can't get my wifi to turn on, even after uninstalling both the ics and wmwifirouter program.

Don't know what to do, so I guess im gonna have to reformat it later.

A hard reset will fix your problem. Unfortunately that is probably the only thing that will fix this
